it's November? As I sit here knitting I am drawn by the sun shining on the water. We have had no snow and the temperature is 11 degrees C. I am knitting a winter hat, which no one may want if the weather doesn't change. I am already thinking of the hats I will make for spring. So no snow and my Christmas shopping is almost done. They are playing commercials with Christmas carols and I am dreaming of swimming and knitting at the beach.

Whew!
This past little while has been crazy. First the house I was renting was put up for sale, the next week the apartment was flooded. So began the clean up, packing and trying to find a new place. Very hectic but it is done. Friends and family helped in the search and move and now I need to unpack and get rid of a lot of stuff. Haven't crafted or knitted until yesterday and my Etsy store has had nothing new added. Choices have to be made unpack or knit. The weather is so great I think sitting out side knitting is going to win out. Happy Easter to everyone and enjoy the weather.

I Can't Get This Image out of MY Head
I can't get this image out of my head. I am not talking about anything gross, sickening or weird. I was returning from a great Chinese buffet dinner and we took the usual route home. As we pass this field, I thought I saw a horse. There was a full moon, and a dark object was in the field. Of course we backed up to see if it was still there. And there under the full moon I saw two majestic deer. But wait, there weren't two there was 1, 2, 3 ,
start all over again when I realize there are still more and there are 10 deer, standing, eating and lying down in this field. What a sight. We sat and watched as the two in front stood at alert, watching us, ready to give the run signal. Its an image I can't get out of my head, and really why should I want too.

Sunshine and Melting Snow
Spring is on the way. I Believe!! After a day like today its not hard to feel like spring is on the way. It reminded me of the song with the words Sunshine and Lollipops. ( I know just gave away my age) Even the love birds where tweeting a lot today, especially when they heard the birds outside.
I had hoped to have my knitting project finished and listed before the end of the Olympics, especially since Canada did so well. I will have to hurry up and finish my toy Beaver, to celebrate being Canadian.
Canada Rocks!

Loves the Camera
While taking pictures of my new items for my Hats Galore and More, on Etsy, I was surprised to find I had a budding model. My lovebird had landed on the table as I took a picture. He strutted around and as I took pictures he looked toward the camera with that I know what you are doing, so I will stop and pose look. He helps show the size of the item so maybe I will put his picture in the shop, with a disclaimer that he is not for sale.

Is it or Isn't it going to snow?
Its gray, damp and windy but still no snow. As i sit here looking out the window, I try to convince myself to start another project. I have thoughts of craft fairs, festivals and spring running through my head and as I stare out at the gloomy weather, I don't feel very motivated. Even the love birds are quiet, as if they sense the approaching storm.

Hurray for February !
I have found a home for my hand knit monkey toy Squish. I had to call him Squish because every time I held him to work on his tummy would squish. Squish will soon be off in the mail on a long trip to California. I am a little jealous, warm weather and lots of sun.
My hand knit rabbit and puppy are already on their way to Pennsylvania, as Easter presents, thanks to the gift certificate give away on JDanielsMom.blog. Things are looking up for my etsy shop, Hatsgaloreandmore@etsy.com.
The next decision is do I make another monkey, puppy, or rabbit. Any thought?

Hats Galore and More
The weather network says we are having a storm. Where? It is snowing, but no freezing rain, no high winds.
It is a good day to get this blog started, if only my bird would let me type. He wants to be petted and jumps around on the keys trying to catch my fingers. I have had to correct a lot of spelling mistakes and type with one finger.
Hats Galore and More is the name of my Etsy store found at rockybird7@etsy.com.
Check out my shop, you will find a variety of cute, funky, fun hats, mittens, hand knit beaded jewelry and hand knit stuffed animals.
We now have about 2 inches of snow. Its wet, cold and gray. I am off to finish my monkey mitts, and hope to have them and two new animals posted soon.
